Optrex Allergy 2% w/v Eye Drops contain a medicine called sodium cromoglicate. This belongs to a group of medicines called anti-allergic. It works by stopping the release of the natural substances in your eyes that can lead to an allergic reaction. Signs of an allergic reaction include itchy, watery, red or inflamed eyes and puffy eyelids.
Optrex Allergy 2% w/v Eye Drops is used for the prevention and treatment of eye allergies. These allergies can happen:
- At any time of the year and is called ‘perennial allergic conjunctivitis’
- In different seasons of the year caused by different pollens. This is called ‘seasonal allergic conjunctivitis’ or hay fever
Suitable for:
Adults and children over 6 years.
Warnings & Cautions:
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
See your doctor or pharmacist:
- If there is no improvement after 2 days of use
- Before using continuously for more than 14 days
If your symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
DO NOT EXCEED THE STATED DOSE.
Use this medicine only in your eyes.
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if your are pregnant, breast feeding or if you require further information.
Do not use if sensitive to any of the ingredients. Do not use whilst wearing soft contact lenses.
Before first opening the bottle: This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.
Storage
After first opening the bottle: Do not store above 25°C.
Discard 28 days after first opening.
Do not use after date shown on pack.
How to use:
Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use.
Adults and children over 6 years: Gently squeeze 1 or 2 drops into each eye, 4 times daily.
Ingredients:
Active Ingredients:Â 1ml of eye drops contains 20 mg of Sodium Cromoglicate (2.0% w/v).
Also contains:Â benzalkonium chloride, disodium edetate, water for injections.
