Gaviscon Advance Oral Suspension is a type of medication known as a “reflux suppressant.” It forms a protective barrier that floats on top of the stomach contents, preventing reflux and protecting the esophagus lining from stomach acid, thus alleviating heartburn and acid indigestion. It also helps with symptoms of conditions like hiatus hernia, reflux oesophagitis, hoarseness, sore throat, and cough associated with reflux. Additionally, it can manage heartburn symptoms during or after the use of medications that reduce stomach acid.
